The deer population is on the increase in the Allagash region. You’ll find places in Maine with more deer per square mile but if you’re looking to experience the challenge of true big woods hunting you’ll find it here in the Allagash region.
Allagash is located on the doorstep of the North Maine Woods, a 3.2 million acre commercial forest that allows public access. Criss-crossed with hundreds of miles of gravel roads, it’s country where you’ll likely hunt all day without seeing another soul.
Typically we have tracking snow by mid November. The excitement of cutting a big buck track and matching wits with it through the snowy woods is an experience every deer hunter dreams of.
At this time we are not offering any guiding for deer, but we do have lodging/meal packages and willingly give advice to give you the lay of the land
Cabins or a private room in our Lodge are available for a comfortable stay while you hunt deer and explore what northern Maine has to offer. Meals can be arranged with advanced reservation
